No parental contributions for daycare and after-school care during the lockdown
Once the facilities are open, parental contributions are charged on a pro rata basis
Since 14 December 2020, the obligation to pay parental contributions no longer applies if children have not been cared for in a daycare facility or after-school care centre.
Daycare facilities and after-school care centres are expected to open with limited regular operations from Monday, 15 February 2021.
This means that parental contributions for the month of February 2021 will again be charged to all parents on a pro rata basis. In the case of direct debits, half of the parental contribution will be debited by March 2021. Transfers for the month of February 2021 must also be made pro rata (half the parental contribution). Adjustments to standing orders with the relevant bank must be made independently.
Note on the payment of parental contributions for emergency care utilised
The full parental contribution must be paid for children in emergency childcare. The contributions for emergency care in January and February 2021 will be debited by direct debit by 15 April 2021 at the latest. Those liable to pay contributions without direct debit authorisation must pay the aforementioned contributions on the usual due dates for these months.
You will therefore also not receive the employer confirmations for the months of January and February 2021 until mid-April 2021.
