No late fees during the closing time of the city library
The city library is expected to remain closed until after the Easter holidays. Books and other media whose loan period expires during this period will be automatically renewed until the library reopens. Late fees will not be charged.
The digital services (Onleihe, Filmfriend, Genios etc.) are still available at
available at www.stadtbibliothek-chemnitz.de.
The closure of the library affects the central library in the TIETZ, all branches and the book bus. During this time, no media (books, CDs, DVDs, ...) can be borrowed, returned or pre-ordered.
All events, guided tours and training courses at the city library and the branches will be cancelled.
