Night ride on the Tatra railway through Chemnitz
Ride with reading "Damage to the overhead line" on 17 September, 11.30 pm
On Friday, 17 September, from 11.30 p.m. to midnight, interested parties are invited to take a special night ride through Chemnitz on an old Tatra train as part of European Mobility Week. During the tour, author Arno Luik will read from his book "Schaden in der Oberleitung" (Damage to the overhead line) and take listeners on a short excursion into the everyday madness that he associates with Deutsche Bahn. Departure is at 11.30 pm at the main station on platform 1, where the trip also ends at midnight.
Admission is free.
Arno Luik has worked for various daily newspapers and, in addition to his excellent interviews, is known for his research on the subject of Stuttgart 21, for which he was awarded the "Lighthouse for Special Journalistic Achievements" by Netzwerk Recherche in 2010. He knows his way around the tracks of this republic and is well placed to assess the past and future of rail transport in Germany.
