New VHS Chemnitz website launched
The new website of the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre has been online since today. At the familiar address www.vhs-chemnitz.de, the website presents itself in a completely new design and with optimised user guidance. All offers are clearly arranged according to programme areas and subject areas. The new design of the website ensures quick orientation and ease of use.
At the heart of the website is the integrated course booking shopping basket system. Customers can find their desired course with just three clicks. Consultancy is required for some courses. These are labelled accordingly.
In addition to tried-and-tested elements such as course searches and a calendar overview, there is now much more detailed information on special offers, exhibitions, events and consultation times on the homepage.
Once you have registered, you can create a user account under "My account". Booking on the web is then possible with just an e-mail address and password, without having to repeatedly fill in forms.
The technical realisation was awarded to the company ITEM KG - a specialist for web design and software solutions for educational institutions. In addition to the basic package, the Chemnitz project group developed and implemented special user-friendly extensions and designs. The new website uses a content management system specially designed for the education sector with a live connection to the VHS course management system. State-of-the-art encryption and communication technologies are used to protect customers. Participant data is stored exclusively in the protected area of the VHS.
The adult education centre staff are still available to answer questions about the courses on offer: online via the contact button, at the information desk or on the phone.
