New used textiles containers from January 2022
Public drawing of lots for the allocation of stand locations
New containers for used textiles will be set up from the beginning of January 2022. The 134 locations were allocated by public lottery in mid-October. A total of 13 companies had applied for a special use permit for the installation of used textile containers.
This was based on the "Concept of the City of Chemnitz for the allocation of container locations for the collection of used textiles on public streets (location concept for used textiles)" adopted by the City Council on 25 September 2019.
The drawing of lots was concluded with the following result:
Lot 1: Becker Umweltdienste GmbH
Lot 2: DRK Kreisverband Chemnitzer Umland e.V.
Lot 3: TEXAID Collection GmbH
Lot 4: Non-profit organisation for the promotion of Aktion Friedensdorf mbH
Lot 5: K+K Textilrecycling GmbH
Lot 6: Profittex GmbH
The corresponding special use permit for the installation of used textile containers on the sites is valid for the period from January 2022 to December 2024 and is subject to terms and conditions. Administrative fees will be charged for the granting of the special use permit.
