New Siemens site: Invitation to the ground-breaking ceremony
Press event on Tuesday, 15 October, 2 p.m.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
This is the starting signal for the new Siemens site in the future industrial park on Leipziger Strasse:
The symbolic ground-breaking ceremony will take place on
Tuesday, 15 October, 2 p.m.
on site at Leipziger Strasse 100. The ground-breaking ceremony will be performed by Siemens plant manager Prof. Dr Nils Kroemer, Verdion Germany head André Banschus and Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig.
You are cordially invited to attend.
A completely new plant is to be built on an eight-hectare site. Until now, Siemens has produced at five locations in Chemnitz. Now the four previously rented external sites are to be concentrated in the new building. The production facility in Clemens-Winkler-Straße will remain in place.
Siemens is having the new 36,000 square metre building constructed by London-based property investor Verdion and will then lease the property for an initial period of ten years. Around 600 employees will move into the new premises in August next year. Siemens produces electronic drives and control systems as well as complete electrical equipment for machine and plant construction in Chemnitz.
We look forward to your visit.
Yours sincerely
Katja Uhlemann
Press Officer
