New service club for women planned
Foundation meeting on 10 November, 6.30 p.m., Heck-Art restaurant
On Thursday, 10 November at 6.30 pm, a service club for women will be founded in the Heck-Art restaurant, Mühlenstraße 2, under the umbrella of the Soroptimist International (SI) organisation. Pia Hamann, Equal Opportunities Officer for the City of Chemnitz, has drawn attention to this.
Soroptimist International (SI) is one of the world's largest networks of professional women with a socio-political commitment. It is non-partisan and non-denominational.
Soroptimists stand up for gender equality, openness and tolerance. Under the motto "Forming a strong voice together", the local SI clubs are committed to the interests of women and girls in the region, in Germany, Europe and worldwide.
The common goal is the equality of men and women in the family, at work and in society.
Elisabeth Reichert, founding president of SI Fürth, will give a presentation about the network on this evening. Registration is requested at: interesseSIchemnitz(at)gmail.com.
