New reading corner for newspapers and magazines

Invitation to the photo session on 26 October, 12 noon, Central Library, TIETZ

The redesign of the central library area with the new Stefan Heym Forum and the Stefan and Inge Heym Working Library has also completely reorganised the reading café for newspapers and magazines. With modern and comfortable seating, the area now invites you to linger, inform yourself and work.

On Monday 26 October at 12 noon, media representatives are cordially invited to take a look at the new reading café, the Reading Corner, in the TIETZ Central Library.

The new reading corner offers over 20 daily newspapers from Germany and abroad and around 100 specialised journals, weekly magazines and magazines. The current issue can always be read in the library, older copies of the magazines can also be borrowed.

E-papers and e-magazines are also becoming increasingly important in everyday life. The library already offers these in the Onleihe and in the Geniosportal. By the end of the year, a tablet station with six tablets will be available for use in the new reading area. This means that digital services can be used conveniently on site.

The "Press Reader" magazine portal will supplement the offer with numerous international newspapers and magazines.
