New programme booklet published
Adult education centre: "Market Day" on 9 September at Neumarkt
The Chemnitz Adult Education Centre (VHS) programme booklet for the 2022/2023 winter semester will be published on Monday, 5 September. On this day, the semester catalogue will be available in the VHS rooms and in the foyer of the TIETZ from 10 am. The freshly printed programme will also be presented on Friday, 9 September, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the traditional "Market Day" of the adult education team at Chemnitz Neumarkt.
In its 316-page catalogue, the adult education centre presents its programme for the coming winter semester, which runs from 12 September 2022 to 3 March 2023. Around 670 courses from six subject areas are waiting to be discovered, booked and attended.
True to the semester motto "Holistic learning", the adult education centre has designed its new programme to be very diverse. In addition to lectures on current and relevant social topics, the programme includes art excursions, foreign language courses and much more. A special focus in the coming semester will be on the topic of ecological sustainability. The new series on raw material and supply security should be emphasised here. These courses will provide both in-depth background knowledge and practical tips for application.
As in previous semesters, the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre is also relying on flexible formats for its courses in the coming autumn and winter: Courses will take place both on-site at the adult education centre and online. In addition, alternating courses will be offered, which can take place both in the physical and virtual classroom, depending on requirements. Hybrid courses - i.e. face-to-face classes that can optionally also be attended online - are also increasingly finding their way into the adult education centre's repertoire following an extremely successful test phase and due to high demand.
On VHS Market Day on 9 September, the staff of Chemnitz Adult Education Centre will be handing out the freshly printed semester catalogue to interested parties from 10 am to 2 pm. They will also be providing information about courses on offer and accepting course requests.
Anyone interested in the courses can register now by e-mail or on the Adult Education Centre's website. As always, written cancellation is possible free of charge up to six working days before the start of the course.
