New pavement Stiftsweg and relocation of bus stop Am Knie

Next Monday, 16 April 2018, construction work will begin on the extension of the pavement in Stiftsweg to the junction with Am Knie street in order to increase school route safety and improve the traffic situation. At the same time, the Am Knie bus stop will be relocated from Max-Saupe-Straße to Stiftsweg.

A two-metre-wide footpath will be constructed over a total length of 140 metres on the northern side and 50 metres on the southern side. At Stiftsweg no. 105 and Am Knie no. 1, the new "Tännichtleite" bus stops will be barrier-free. The construction work will be carried out with half-sided closure of Stiftsweg with traffic lights.

The project is scheduled for completion by the beginning of July 2018.

The construction company VSTR AG from Rodewisch has been commissioned to carry out the work. The costs for the construction work amount to around 150,000 euros.
