I am looking forward to working with Katja Uhlemann, the head of the department, who has been working with great commitment for the past year to create the best possible framework conditions for the many tasks of the health department.
These tasks include protecting the population from infections, hygiene checks, promoting and safeguarding the health and dental health of children and young people, health promotion and prevention, help for mental health problems, and the provision of medical care.prevention, help for the mentally ill and their relatives, counselling on addiction, sexually transmitted diseases and socio-medical issues, vaccination, as well as the preparation of medical reports and expert opinions. Social changes and the effects of climate change are constantly creating new challenges that require close co-operation with other city offices. I would like to contribute my diverse professional experience to these processes and thus support the further development of my home town," says Dr Hildegard Geisler.
"Dr Geisler's qualifications, her diverse experience, her fresh perspective and her enthusiasm for this task make her a real asset to our office.
