New Managing Director of Eissport- und Freizeit GmbH Chemnitz

Sascha Brandt will be the new Managing Director of Eissport und Freizeit GmbH Chemnitz from January 2016. This was decided unanimously by the Supervisory Board of the municipal subsidiary Eissport und Freizeit GmbH Chemnitz on 26 October 2015.

The company's current Managing Director, Roland Hauschild, will be leaving the company at the end of January 2016 due to his age. Roland Hauschild has managed Eissport und Freizeit GmbH Chemnitz since the company was founded in January 1998.

Eissport und Freizeit GmbH Chemnitz maintains one of the largest ice rinks in Germany at Küchwald, where both nationally successful competitive athletes train and Chemnitz citizens can enjoy sporting activities as part of popular sports. The company also operates the Rabenstein reservoir and the Golfbadsauna health park, which is also located in Rabenstein.

Sascha Brandt, born in 1978 in Karl-Marx-Stadt, worked in several health and sports organisations after studying sports science before moving to Eissport und Freizeit GmbH Chemnitz in 2007. He has been responsible for the Rabenstein division there since 2009.

Brandt is the father of a daughter and lives with his partner in Chemnitz.
