New maker magazine available
From next week, the new Doer magazine will be available with stories and interviews from the year 2022, including the director of the Chemnitz animal shelter, steadfast teachers and energetic coordinators. The focus is also on the Ebersdorf School Museum Association and the Johanneum Children and Youth Foundation, for example, which are actively helping to shape the city.
The magazine is available free of charge from all town halls, citizen service centres, the Bürgerhaus am Wall, the TIETZ, the tourist information office, the Moritzhof, Kulturhauptstadt GmbH in the former Schmidtbank-Passage and Chemnitz University of Technology. The print run is 3,000 copies.
The "Maker of the Week" interview is published as a series in the official gazette of the City of Chemnitz and introduces Chemnitz personalities who are making a difference in the city. Whether events, encounters or innovations - the commitment of the movers and shakers knows no bounds.
For the first time, the current issue of the magazine takes a comprehensive look at the topic of "Chemnitz on its way to becoming the European Capital of Culture". The articles are published as a review, outlook and overview of developments surrounding the European Capital of Culture. This is the first issue to be published as a double issue with reports on intervention areas, places of change and partners within the cultural region.
The magazine contains all the interviews conducted in 2022 as well as the articles on the development of the Capital of Culture in abridged versions in German and English.
