New impetus from the federal "Living Democracy" programme Project funding 2015 - application period begins
Information from the Coordination Office on the Local Action Plan for Democracy, Tolerance and a Cosmopolitan Chemnitz (LAP) - information event on 22.1.
The City of Chemnitz has received approval for an early start to the implementation of the federal "Living Democracy" programme. Ines Vorsatz, LAP coordinator at the City of Chemnitz: "This gives the Chemnitz Local Action Plan for Democracy, Tolerance and a Cosmopolitan Chemnitz new impetus for its work over the next five years. Thanks to support from the federal programme Demokratie Leben (Living Democracy), grants of up to 6,000 euros can be applied for this year for a LAP project. A youth fund and a micro-project fund are also planned, financed by federal funds." The LAP coordination centre is supported by the Network for Cultural and Youth Work, where an external coordination centre started work at the beginning of the new year.
On Thursday, 22 January, an information event on the City of Chemnitz's funding guidelines and the federal "Live Democracy" programme will take place at the LAP coordination office from 4 pm to 6 pm. The event is aimed at anyone interested in realising projects as part of the LAP. Information will also be provided on the new application procedure and the award procedure; questions on submitting applications, drawing up financing plans and project development will also be answered.
The deadline for submitting project applications is 13 March 2015.
The information event on 22 January will be hosted by LAP coordinator Ines Vorsatz and will take place in the Bürgerhaus Am Wall (location: Düsseldorfer Platz 1) in the training room on the 4th floor (room 4.100) - participants are requested to use the "Am Wall" entrance.
