New HLF 10 for Klaffenbach volunteer fire brigade
On Saturday 26 October, the head of the Chemnitz professional fire brigade, René Kraus, handed over a new rescue fire engine (HLF10) to the Klaffenbach volunteer fire brigade. The occasion was the 145th anniversary of the Klaffenbach volunteer fire brigade.
The new HLF 10 replaces the old LF 8/6 fire engine, built in 1998. The LF 8/6 will continue to be used within the Chemnitz fire brigade.
The cost of the HLF 10 is around 500,000 euros.

- Latest driver assistance systems (cornering assistant, collision warning system, emergency brake assistant)
- Crew: up to nine firefighters
- Extinguishing water tank with a capacity of 1,600 litres
- Thermal imaging camera
- Light mast with 6 LED headlights
- Permissible total weight: 14,000 kg
- Fire-fighting centrifugal pump with 2000 litres/min at 10 bar pressure
- Water rapid intervention system
- Can be optionally equipped with portable fire pump or water suction/overpressure fan
