New general decree of the city of Chemnitz
Access to shops and facilities with negative corona test possible after Easter
The city of Chemnitz is issuing a general decree in addition to the new Corona Protection Ordinance of the Free State of Saxony. This allows certain establishments and shops to open from 6 April if a daily negative rapid coronavirus test can be presented.
Retail and wholesale establishments and shops may open for a maximum of one customer per 40 square metres of sales area or part thereof after prior appointment booking with documentation for contact tracing. Businesses providing body-related services may also open.
Animal parks, wildlife parks, botanical gardens, museums and galleries can be visited with prior appointment booking and documentation for contact tracing. The City of Chemnitz will provide information on the exact opening times as soon as possible.
A prerequisite for all openings is that visitors or customers can only take advantage of the offers upon presentation of a daily negative rapid or self-test (maximum 24 hours old).
Furthermore, individual sports and sports for up to 20 children and young people up to the age of 18 are permitted in the outdoor area.
According to the Free State's ordinance, the general decree will be cancelled when the maximum bed capacity of 1,300 occupied coronavirus beds is reached in Saxony. This will then be announced by the Free State.
