New format: Basic course in neighbourhood assistance

Adult education centre: Offer starts on 3 February, 3 p.m., TIETZ, course room 4.62

On Tuesday, 3 February at 3 p.m., a new basic course will start at the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre, where those interested can train to become a neighbourhood helper. Essential basics on the subject of the need for care will be taught. Contents of the course include legal regulations, basic knowledge of common illnesses, personal hygiene and food intake as well as basic knowledge of measures to be taken in emergency situations.

The course runs until 17 February and takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 to 4.30 p.m. in course room 4.62. It is recognised by the care insurance companies, so participation is free of charge. Registration is required under the link to the course or by telephone on 0371 488- 4343.

Upon successful completion of the course, a certificate is awarded which entitles the participant to receive financial support from the care insurance companies for their neighbourhood help activities.

Neighbourhood help relieves carers in the home on an hourly basis and accompanies those in need of care.
