New fee regulations and user regulations for Chemnitz City Library
At its meeting yesterday, the city council approved new regulations for fees and use of the Chemnitz City Library.
A new feature is the introduction of subscription contracts for direct debiting of the annual fee. Those who use this option will continue to pay an annual fee of 18 euros. For all other users, the annual fee will increase by two euros to 20 euros.
Children and young people up to the age of 18 can continue to use the library free of charge. Reduced fees for pupils over the age of 18, students and Chemnitz Pass holders will remain the same. There is also a new reduced fee for Dank Card holders, who were previously able to use the library free of charge. A combined ticket for the library and the Museum of Natural History is also available.
Additional charges will be introduced for deliveries and orders within the city network, for orders and reservations. Fees for return and payment requests have been adjusted.
The working group on the TIETZ concept, consisting of TIETZ employees, city council members and external consultants, decided in favour of a moderate increase in the interests of basic services. At the same time, the reduction in opening hours at the Yorck area and Vita Centre branches was to be reversed. As a result, both branches will be open three days a week again next year. The exact opening hours and days are yet to be announced.
