New election of the Youth Welfare Committee for the 2019 - 2024 electoral term
The Youth Welfare Committee of the City of Chemnitz is to be re-elected for the coming electoral period 2019 to 2024. In accordance with Section 71 of Book Eight of the German Social Code - Child and Youth Welfare (SGB VIII) in conjunction with Sections 3 et seq. Landesjugendhilfegesetz (LJHG) and Section 5 of the statutes of the Office for Youth and Family of the City of Chemnitz, the Youth Welfare Committee includes six women or men as voting members, in addition to representatives of the City Council, who are nominated by the recognised independent youth welfare organisations operating in the City of Chemnitz. The voting members are elected by the City Council.
Proposals for the composition of the Youth Welfare Committee can be submitted to the City of Chemnitz, Amt für Jugend und Familie, Sg. 51.01 Zentraler Service, Bahnhofstraße 53, 09111 Chemnitz by 31 May 2019 at the latest. Each nomination should include an appropriate number of volunteers.
In the nominations to be submitted, the intended six members and their respective personal deputies - sorted by list position - must be named with the following information: Surname, first name, date of birth, home address, telephone number, e-mail address and activity at the independent youth welfare organisation. A declaration of willingness must also be submitted for each member.
Please note that only candidates whose main place of residence is in Chemnitz can be elected. It is recommended that the nominations be voted on and submitted via the respective umbrella organisation (e.g. Netzwerk für Kultur- und Jugendarbeit e. V. or Liga der Wohlfahrtsverbände).
