New construction of the pavement on Unritzstraße

Start of the coordinated construction project in Rabenstein on 3 May - half-sided lane closure with traffic light control required in sections

On Monday, 3 May, construction work will begin on the new pavement on Unritzstraße between Rabensteiner Mühlweg and Pelzmühlenstraße (southern connection).

In addition to the construction of a new approx. 275 metre long footpath, a two metre wide green strip will be created between the carriageway and the footpath for existing and new street trees to be planted. Junctions and an existing container site will also be renewed.

Furthermore, as part of this coordinated measure, eins energie in sachsen will completely renew the lighting system, lay empty conduits for electrical cables and replace the existing gas pipeline over a length of approx. 100 metres.

The waste disposal company of the city of Chemnitz (ESC) is also having a combined sewer laid over a length of approx. 45 metres.

The construction work is being carried out in approx. 80 metre-long sections with half-sided lane closures and traffic lights. The construction period is set to last four months until the end of August 2021.

The total construction costs amount to around 330,000 euros. The company EBG Bau GmbH Ehrenfriedersdorf has been commissioned to carry out the work.
