On Wednesday 30 September at 2.00 pm, Lord Mayor Sven Schulze is inviting media representatives to a press briefing at the Hartmannfabrik, Fabrikstraße 11. Together with project manager Florian Hegewald, he will present the new brochure ‘25 Achievements and Impacts of Chemnitz 2025 – European Capital of Culture’. Also taking part in the press briefing will be:
- Andrea Pier, Managing Director of Chemnitz 2025 gGmbH
- Prof. Dr Jochen Mayerl, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Chemnitz University of Technology
- Daniel Röthig, Mayor of Callenberg

The publication takes stock and presents 25 selected examples of developments during the European Capital of Culture year. It highlights the year’s impact, the associated investments and the long-term benefits for Chemnitz. It also examines how the city is perceived and changes in the self-image of Chemnitz’s residents.
