New adult education centre course programme is online
Chemnitz Adult Education Centre has published its new course programme for the summer semester 2021. All courses can be found at www.vhs-chemnitz.de and booked directly.
The adult education centre will be offering a full and varied programme to all interested parties from March 2021. "We are prepared to run the courses on site at the adult education centre or, if possible and necessary, online," says Grit Bochmann, head of the adult education centre. As always, anyone booking a course for the next semester has the option of cancelling in writing up to six working days before the start of the course.
Special highlights in the summer semester are the events focussing on environmental and climate protection. The successful online lecture series "vhs.wissen live" also deals with this topic. For example, the well-known economist Hans-Werner Sinn will explain the challenges of climate change and the associated energy transition in Germany on 21 March 2021.
The adult education centre is also participating in the 30th Days of Jewish Culture Chemnitz with a three-part course series on democracy and anti-Semitism with renowned guests such as the political scientist Samuel Salzborn, the President of the Thuringian Office for the Protection of the Constitution, Stephan Kramer, and the Anti-Semitism Commissioner of Baden-Württemberg, Michael Blume.
