Nevoigtstraße will be closed from Monday 28 July until 22 August 2025 due to construction work. A wastewater connection is being renewed in connection with the construction of the adventure farm at Chemnitz Zoo, Nevoigtstraße 18-20.
During this period, access to the car park on Nevoigtstraße is only possible via Zwickauer Straße (entrance near Luckybike). The disabled parking spaces at Chemnitz Zoo can only be accessed from Unritzstraße. Pedestrian traffic to Chemnitz Zoo is guaranteed.
Adventure farm
In two construction phases, a new attraction for visitors of all ages and an attractive home for endangered, native domestic animal breeds will be created in the form of the adventure farm. The area of the former playground is being remodelled and integrated into the zoo as part of a cooperation project between the Tierparkfreunde Chemnitz e. V. association and Chemnitz Zoo.
