Nest box construction for Max Meise & Co.
On Saturdays 2 and 9 March 2013 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the nature conservation station at Adelsbergstraße 192 invites you to build a nesting box. The "Max Meise - nest box building for young and old" event, which has been popular for many years, offers the opportunity to build one or more nest boxes for the garden or balcony yourself under expert guidance. Children with parents, grandparents, siblings or friends are cordially invited to build a nest box.
At the same time, there is the opportunity to get ideas, suggestions and solutions for breeding and nesting opportunities for building-dwelling bird species or bats at the nature conservation centre's buildings. The event is a joint project between the Saxon Ornithologists' Association (VSO) and the Environmental Agency.
The organiser asks for a donation of around five euros per nesting box for the materials. The Chemnitz-Adelsberg nature conservation centre can be reached by tram line 5 to the Pappelhain stop or by car via Carl-von-Ossietzky-Straße.
