Rosenhof with coffee and cake and a balcony ballet revival
The Parisian initiative of the European Neighbourhood Festival is taking a particularly creative approach to the current situation: it invites Europeans to enjoy coffee and cake on their own balconies or by their windows - and thus celebrate the day together as neighbours. The Bürgerhaus City e. V. has taken up this suggestion. On Friday, 29 May, between 3 and 3.30 pm, the residents of Rosenhof 12, 14 and 18 will be encouraged to drink coffee together on their balconies. The association will bake and provide cakes. The highlight will be music from the 2013 balcony ballet, which will bring back memories of this unforgettable experience.
In previous years, the EU Office of the City of Chemnitz organised the European Neighbourhood Festival in the Rosenhof with many partners and associations. A colourful stage programme and sporting and artistic activities were on offer. Unfortunately, the activities planned this year for 9 May on the Boulevard Morgenleite at the "Bürgertreff bei Heckerts" were completely cancelled.
