Neefestraße: Next construction phase begins
Traffic light crossing between the street "Im Neefepark" and the southern ramp is opened to traffic
From Monday, 2 September, the next construction phase (construction phase 3.4) will begin on Neefestraße. During this construction phase, which will last until 11 October, the last sections of the landward Neefestraße from the Heiztrasse bridge to the new northern bridge structure and the northern ramp to the Clemens-Winkler-Straße junction will be renewed.
The currently closed traffic light junction between the street "Im Neefepark" and the southern ramp will be opened to traffic, allowing the southern ramp to be used again as an entrance and exit to Neefepark and Clemens-Winkler-Straße.
On Friday, 13 September, there will again be shorter traffic restrictions for the installation of the induction loops at the traffic lights in the junction area.
Following construction phase 3.4, the central reservation crossings will be removed. Furthermore, planting pits will be created in preparation for the replacement planting of 97 trees along Neefestraße. In addition, the lighting masts removed during the construction period will be reinstalled.
The work is on schedule and is currently planned to be completed in November 2024.
The trees are expected to be planted by the Parks Department by the end of March 2025.
