Nature conservation lecture on species protection when keeping exotic pets
The next lecture in the programme of monthly events organised by the voluntary nature conservation service is dedicated to the topic of species protection in connection with keeping exotic pets. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, 25 March at 5 p.m. in the citizens' room of the nature conservation station at Adelsbergstraße 192. Nature conservation helpers and anyone else interested in the topic are cordially invited. Admission to the event is free.
The Environment Agency provides information on the topic of the lecture evening: In order to prevent the extinction of rare animal species kept as pets worldwide in their areas of origin, there are now a number of international laws and agreements that restrict the trade in these animals. Cornelia Bauer and Corinna Hoeffgen from the Lower Nature Conservation Authority at the Environmental Agency would like to draw attention to this topic with their presentation "Species protection when keeping tortoises, parrots and the like". The speakers will also provide information on how to comply with species protection regulations when keeping exotic pets.
