Natural history hike along the Erzgebirge ridge

Environmental centre invites you to explore: on 24 May, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., start and finish in Marienberg

On Saturday, 24 May, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Environmental Centre invites you to a nature hike along the ridge of the Ore Mountains. Those interested can explore the beautiful nature of the mountain meadows, ridge forests and stream valleys in the upper Erzgebirge. The biologist and nature conservation officer of the Erzgebirgskreis, Kay Meister, will show the botanical and zoological treasures.

Participation in the event is free of charge. Registration is required by 23 May - either by telephone on 0371 488 6177 or by email to umweltzentrum(at)stadt-chemnitz.de.

The journey to and from the event is organised individually, starting and finishing in Marienberg, Rübenau district. The exact meeting point will be announced after registration.

The approximately 8-kilometre circular hike on field and forest paths will be at a leisurely pace. A self-pay lunch stop at a Czech restaurant is planned.
