This year, the nationwide warning day will take place on Thursday, 11 September, and the city of Chemnitz will once again be taking part.
At 11 a.m., a test warning will be issued centrally via the National Warning Centre in Bonn using the Modular Warning System (MoWaS). This then appears, for example, in the NINA warning app and via the Cell Broadcast mobile phone service or on digital city information boards.
In Chemnitz, the sirens at all locations and at the majority of CVAG stops will sound the "Warning of danger" tone (one-minute wailing tone, i.e. six tones lasting five seconds each with a five-second pause), but without a gong or voice announcement. The following text is planned for the display boards: "Nationwide warning day 2025 - test warning".
The all-clear will then be given at 11.45 a.m.: the all-clear warning tone (one minute continuous tone) will sound and the text "All-clear warning nationwide warning day 2025" will be displayed.
In addition to the existing siren locations, two mobile sirens are used at the following locations:
- Wolgograder Allee / Max-Opitz-Straße
- Adelsbergstraße (Adelsberg volunteer fire brigade)
