Music school offers free lessons for refugees from Ukraine
Saxon Music Council covers the fee costs
Refugees from Ukraine can now take free lessons at the Chemnitz Municipal Music School. This is possible thanks to the support of the Saxon Music Council and the Cultural Foundation of the Free State of Saxony.
Refugees can register for music lessons via the music school's website, in person or by telephone on 0371 302289 during the music school's office hours. Consultation hours are Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10am to 12pm and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2pm to 4pm.
In addition, the municipal music school has been offering a musical choir-band meeting in the band rehearsal room every Wednesday from 6.15 to 7.15 pm for all refugees who are looking for a place to make music.
Independently of this, all music-loving people in Chemnitz have the opportunity to join the rehearsals of the existing music school ensembles with their instrument.
