Music school gives a guest performance with the "Original Elbländer Blasmusikanten"
A guest performance for the 10th anniversary of the Elbländer
The youth wind orchestra "Jublo" of the Chemnitz Municipal Music School will be playing on 29 November 2015 at 3 pm at Kaftwerk e.V., Kaßbergstraße 36, as a prelude to the anniversary concert "The best of ten years" by the "Original Elbländer Blasmusikanten". Under the direction of Fred Adler, the brass musicians from the Chemnitz Municipal Music School congratulate their fellow musicians on their 10th anniversary. Admission is from 2 pm. Tickets are available from Kraftwerk e.V. and cost 10.00 euros in advance, 12.00 euros at the box office and 7.00 euros reduced for schoolchildren and students. Reservations can be made by telephone on 0371 3839030.
The "Original Elbländer Blasmusikanten" have dedicated themselves to high-quality Bohemian brass music. The musicians are all professionals from symphony orchestras in Saxony and Thuringia, including the Robert Schumann Philharmonic Orchestra. Otherwise they play in major symphonies and operas. In their spare time, they delight themselves and their audiences with cheerful Bohemian brass music.
Guest soloist Kurt Sandau, long-time principal trumpeter of the Saxon State Orchestra in Dresden, will perform with the Elbländer. As a grand finale, all visitors are invited to join in the music-making. Visitors can bring their own instrument and sheet music to give free rein to their musical mood in an improvised brass band session.
