Music café with opera star
"DA CAPO - Music for Seniors" invites you to another edition of the music café on Thursday, 5 February at 3 pm in the large hall of Kraftwerk e.V. at Kaßbergstraße 36. By popular demand from music lovers, host Nancy Gibson will this time be welcoming the prominent opera and concert singer Svetlana Katchour, who will be accompanied on the piano by pianist Tatjana Funk.
Svetlana Katchour has already appeared in various opera roles at many European opera houses, captivating audiences with her youthful, fascinating appearance and the unmistakable quality of an exceptional voice. At the Chemnitz Opera House, she has appeared as Violetta in La Traviata and Donna Anna in Don Giovanni and several other opera performances.
Tatjana Funk teaches piano at the Chemnitz Municipal Music School.
Both artists are close friends and recently performed a Russian song recital in the Stadthalle.
In an exciting chat between Nancy Gibson and Svetlana Katchour, visitors will certainly learn a lot about the opera and concert performances of the sought-after singer, who will also introduce herself to the audience with well-known melodies.
The organisers hope to welcome many music lovers on 5 February. Admission is 5 euros per person including coffee and cake. Guests who are dependent on a wheelchair should use the signposted side entrance.
