Music café with DA-CAPO ensemble and young talented musicians
As part of the monthly "DA CAPO - Music for Seniors" series, another edition of the music café will be held on Thursday, 6 March at 3 pm in the large hall of the Kraftwerk socio-cultural centre in the building at Kaßbergstraße 36.
This time, music café host Nancy Gibson will present a whole range of performers in conversation and, of course, in concert: Guests include the members of the DA-CAPO ensemble under the direction of Roswitha Oelsner as well as Lena Keil and Anton Liebezeit, two young students taught by Roswitha Oelsner. Ben and Antal Lepetit, two successful piano talents from the Municipal Music School, will also be welcomed to the music café.
The six ladies of the DA-CAPO ensemble have already delighted many music lovers with their music: they have performed their varied programme ranging from classical music to folk songs at various events organised by the Municipal Music School and in retirement homes, at birthday parties and also at festive events organised by clubs. Ben Lepetit - "Chemnitz Musician of the Year 2013" - and his brother Antal are both students of Michael Fröhlich, piano teacher at the Municipal Music School. Both talented pianists, who have just presented outstanding performances in their age group at the regional Jugend musiziert competition, will introduce themselves on the piano at the Musikcafé.
As usual, visitors to the music café will be invited to enjoy an exciting and relaxing afternoon with coffee and cake. The organisers are once again looking forward to welcoming numerous music lovers - admission is 5 euros per person (including coffee and cake). Visitors to the event who are dependent on a wheelchair should use the signposted side entrance.
