Music café in April with Christoph Modersohn and his DA-CAPO group
Christoph Modersohn, who incidentally worked as a bookseller and antiquarian bookseller before his career as a musician, first received lessons on the recorder and oboe and sang with the Thuringian Boys' Choir. Modersohn began playing the saxophone, with which he has since become famous, in 1987, studied at the Dresden University of Music from 1990 to 1994 and has been working as a freelance saxophonist in Chemnitz and Dresden since 1994. Christoph Modersohn currently also works as a teacher and teaches saxophone, music theory and jazz improvisation at the Chemnitz Municipal Music School. The members of his DA-CAPO group are particularly fond of the musician. Visitors to the April Music Café can look forward to Afro-Cuban rhythms and techniques with congas, for example. The concert will show how well older people can handle these instruments and rhythms, and of course the music café guests are also invited to join in.
Music café guests will enjoy a relaxing afternoon with coffee and cake. The organisers hope to welcome many music lovers again on 4 April.
The entrance fee is €5 per person including coffee and cake. Guests who are dependent on a wheelchair should use the signposted side entrance to the building.
