Music café for senior citizens in October: DA-CAPO ensemble and music students as guests at the power station
As part of the "DA CAPO - Music for Seniors" series of events, another edition of the music café will be held in the large hall of the Kraftwerk socio-cultural centre (Kaßbergstraße 36) on Thursday, 10 October at 3 pm.
Host Nancy Gibson, Director of the Chemnitz Municipal Music School, will welcome the DA-CAPO ensemble under the direction of Roswitha Oelsner as well as young music students from the Municipal Music School for a concert and discussion.
The six musicians in the ensemble - Ingrid Nickut, Gisela Wolf, Heike Gagelmann, Roswitha Oelsner, Uta Schwörke and Claudia Eisenreich - have already delighted many music lovers with their music. They have already performed their varied programme at various events at the municipal music school as well as at concerts in retirement homes, at birthday parties and at festive events organised by clubs. The ensemble's repertoire includes classical works as well as lively waltzes, marches and folk songs. The qualified musician Roswitha Oelsner also teaches violin at the municipal music school. Her students - Milena Krieger, Clementine Klotz and Lena Keil - will also perform a few pieces of music at the music café on 10 October. There will also be a surprise guest this time.
Music café guests are once again invited to enjoy an exciting and cosy afternoon with coffee and cake. The organisers are looking forward to welcoming many music lovers - the entrance fee is 5 euros including coffee and cake. Guests in wheelchairs are kindly requested to use the signposted side entrance.
