Music café for children: April's theme is classical singing
The theme of the monthly music café for children "Fräulein Verkleidung", held at the Kraftwerk socio-cultural centre at Kaßbergstraße 36, is classical singing in April. The event is scheduled for Sunday, 13 April, 3:30 pm to 4:15 pm. The protagonists will once again be Fräulein Verkleidung, alias music school director Nancy Gibson, assisted by the hand puppet moose "Casey" and, as a guest this time, music student Marvin Müller.
Singing together is always part of the programme at the music café: the April edition also begins (and ends) with a joint song. After the atmospheric introduction, Fräulein Verkleidung goes in search of suitable costumes - this time the focus is on Easter and the new life that awakens in spring. Casey and Fräulein dress up in the costumes from the chest, chat and sing with the guests and introduce music student Marvin Müller and his special love of music and singing.
The monthly event on Sunday afternoons is organised jointly by Nancy Gibson, Head of the Chemnitz Municipal Music School, and Ute Kiehn, Head of the Kraftwerk Socio-Cultural Centre. Girls and boys aged three to ten are invited to the music café. Admission costs three euros per child and one euro for accompanying adults. Tea and biscuits are served at the event.
