Music café at the Kraftwerk in November with the composer Thomas Stöß

Composer Thomas Stöß will be a guest at the monthly music café "DA CAPO - Music for Seniors" at the Kraftwerk socio-cultural centre on Thursday, 6 November at 3 pm. The graduate musician teaches piano and composition at the Chemnitz Municipal Music School. His compositions have also been performed at the city music school's anniversary concert, at the "Jugend musiziert" prizewinners' concert and at many other concerts inside and outside the music school. Only recently, friends of contemporary music had the opportunity to listen to compositions by Thomas Stöß in the "Klangwerk" series at the Gunzenhauser Museum.

In a conversation between Musikcafé host Nancy Gibson, Director of the Chemnitz Municipal Music School, and Thomas Stöß, visitors will learn interesting facts and many new things about modern music. There will also be music composed by Thomas Stöß, performed by himself on the piano and by llka Stöß (oboe) and Manfred Neubert (accordion).

As usual, the music café guests will enjoy an entertaining afternoon with coffee and cake in the power station. The organisers are looking forward to welcoming many interested music lovers. Admission to the event is 5 euros per person (including coffee and cake). Guests who are dependent on a wheelchair should use the signposted side entrance.
