Museum of Natural History event in July and August 2017

until 30 July Special exhibition via regia - The Road of Species

Rhinoceroses, parsnips and the Black Death travelled along the ancient via regia trade route. For centuries, it was the most important link between Eastern and Western Europe. The new species, including many stowaways, influenced both the natural landscape and people's lives. Follow the "Road of Species" from the Middle Ages to the present day.

Until 30 July 2017, you can experience the effects of trade and travel on life along the way with the whole family at the Museum für Naturkunde Chemnitz.
