More roads and bridges reopened

A number of other roads and paths were reopened today after the flood damage was repaired. Glösaer Straße and the cycle path at the Euba dam are open to traffic again.

A temporary solution for the pedestrian bridge on Schulstraße will be put in place this afternoon, which will at least allow the path to be used again. The bridge is expected to be repaired during the summer holidays, but there is still a need for further coordination as the bridge also affects the railway line.

The following roads and bridges are currently still closed:

  • Chemnitztalradweg (between Lohrstraße and Dammweg and between Fischweg and Heinersdorfer Straße), due to undercutting
  • Feudelstraße (due to landslide)
  • Pedestrian bridge between Talsperrengrund and Einsiedler Hauptstraße
  • Erfenschlager Straße pedestrian bridge (at HNr. 179)
  • Court steps (due to heavy moisture penetration)
  • Crossroads (Wittgensdorf) -> further soaking
  • Access to Einsiedler Hauptstraße HNr.1 via Kurt-Franke-Straße

In addition, the half-sided closure on Beyerstrasse was lifted again at midday today (see roadworks overview).
