Model project to promote democracy with children
Playground talk for children on 4 July, 2.30 p.m. in Marie-Luise-Pleißner-Park
Today, Monday 4 July at 2.30 pm, children will meet at the Marie-Luise-Pleißner-Park playground to exchange ideas and play. Representatives of the media are cordially invited to attend.
The children want to find out how their suggestions for the construction of the "Bouncing Dot" playground in Marie-Luise-Pleißner-Park have been realised. With their drawings in hand, they will now become detectives and check whether their ideas were successful. They are starting their investigation together with the school social work team, Kindervereinigung Sachsen e. V., the teachers from the Sonneninsel after-school care centre at Heinrich-Heine-Grundschule, Augsburger Straße 36, and Ute Spindler, the City of Chemnitz's Children and Youth Officer.
The background to this is that another model project to promote democracy with children is to be organised at a playground in Chemnitz this year with the campaign partners.
