Member wanted for LAP monitoring committee

The office of the Local Preventive Council/Coordination Centre for the Local Action Plan for Democracy, Tolerance and a Cosmopolitan Chemnitz (LAP) is looking for committed civil society initiatives that would like to participate in the implementation of the municipal action strategy for the promotion of democracy as a member of the monitoring committee. The monitoring committee advises the coordination office on decisions regarding project funding.

The appointment of a new member to the LAP Monitoring Committee is based on the City of Chemnitz guidelines for the funding of projects as part of the Local Action Plan for Democracy, Tolerance and a Cosmopolitan Chemnitz of 15 December 2010 and the current funding principles of the federal programme "Demokratie Leben".

The majority of the monitoring committee must be made up of local or regional stakeholders from civil society. As one civil society member will be leaving in 2021, a new seat for civil society must be filled.

A prerequisite for the application is the willingness to participate in several meetings per year and to be able to implement digital formats. Furthermore, the initiative should have a broad impact on urban society. The call for applications ends on 30 November 2020.
