Mediators wanted

Information event for senior citizens

On Tuesday, 22 October, from 5 to 6.30 p.m., there will be an information event on "Dispute mediators for children" for senior citizens (generation 55+) at the TIETZ, see VHS room announcement. Participation is free of charge.

Disputes are a part of children's lives, but they must not lead to violence and insults. This is precisely why the "Senior Partners in School" association does important work in primary schools throughout Germany: by using senior citizens (55+ generation) who work on a voluntary basis, children are empowered to resolve and end arguments with each other in a non-violent and respectful manner. In the lecture and the subsequent discussion, interested parties will learn about the aims and methods of the organisation and the mediators (dispute mediators) active in Chemnitz and thus gain an insight into this work. It may even spark an interest in becoming actively involved. After all, who can resist the smiling eyes of a child?

This event is a co-operation between Seniorpartner in School Sachsen e. V. and the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre.
