Measles cases reported in Chemnitz
Last Tuesday, 2 May, three cases of measles were reported to the Chemnitz public health department among pupils at an independent school in Chemnitz. The parents of the pupils at the school in question have already been informed.
The three pupils concerned live in Callenberg, which is why the Zwickau public health department is involved on site (in Callenberg) in order to take the appropriate infection control measures.
The Chemnitz public health department is identifying the contact persons of the affected pupils in the city of Chemnitz (i.e. teachers, classmates, persons present at the doctor's surgeries visited by the affected persons, etc.). Necessary measures have been initiated in accordance with the current Saxon outbreak control programme MASERN, such as issuing visiting bans, checking existing vaccination protection, preparing any necessary lockdown vaccinations, etc.
