Mayors for Peace art competition enters next round
Students between the ages of 6 and 15 can take part - closing date: 30 September
The Mayors for Peace initiative is once again organising an art competition for children to further promote peaceful coexistence in the minds of children in the member cities. The theme of this year's children's painting competition is What Peace Means to Me.
The city of Chemnitz, which has been a member of the Mayors for Peace initiative since 2006 and is committed to the abolition of nuclear weapons and lasting global peace, is supporting this art competition. It is aimed at pupils between the ages of 6 and 15 who are called upon to explore the topic of "peace" and to creatively depict what peace means to them.
The drawings can be handed in at Chemnitz City Hall up to and including 30 September 2024 or sent to the following address City of Chemnitz, Division 09 (Department of European and International Relations, Protocol), Markt 1, 09111 Chemnitz.
Together with the picture, participants must complete and submit the City of Chemnitz's data protection declaration and the Mayors for Peace participation form (in English).
