Information on voting under the conditions of the corona pandemic
Due to the current corona pandemic situation, every voter is asked to observe and comply with the following requirements of the hygiene protection concept in polling stations:
- In the polling station and in any queues that may be created in front of the polling station, ensure that the distancing rule is observed (1.5 m distance between two people who do not belong to the same household). The entrances to the polling station and the polling stations must be kept clear at all times.
- Voters and members of the electoral board are advised to wear a face covering while in the polling station. Persons with disabilities and those with health restrictions may, if they are unable to do so, refrain from wearing a face covering. Wearing a face covering is particularly recommended for all those present (including election observers) during the ascertainment of results, as it is generally not possible to maintain the minimum distance.
- A hand sanitiser will be available for use by voters at the entrance to the polling station.
- To minimise the risk of infection, please use your own biros to cast your vote.
The electoral board will regularly disinfect the surfaces of all tables, chairs and writing pads in the polling booths.
Please understand that there may be waiting times or delays due to the necessary protective measures in the polling station.
