Mayor welcomes participants of the U20 European Basketball Championships

Mayor Barbara Ludwig is inviting delegations from the participating teams in the U20 European Basketball Championships to Chemnitz City Hall next Tuesday, 17 July at 11 am. Representatives from Great Britain, Ukraine, Spain, Turkey, Lithuania, Montenegro, France, Croatia, Italy, Sweden, Romania, Greece, Iceland, Germany, Israel and Serbia will sign the city's Golden Book. Mayor Barbara Ludwig and the President of the German Basketball Association, Ingo Weiss, will deliver the welcoming address.
Representatives of the media are cordially invited to this event.
Following the reception, the City of Chemnitz and the German Basketball Federation will hold a press conference at 12.30 p.m. in Room 118 of the City Hall to take stock of the U20 European Championships. Mayor Barbara Ludwig and DBB President Ingo Weiss will be available for discussion.
Chemnitz is hosting the U20 European Basketball Championships until Sunday 22 July. 16 nations will play for the title in the Richard Hartmann Hall and the Chemnitz Exhibition Centre.
