"Max Meise - nesting box construction for young and old"
Action by the Environmental Agency on 3 March, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Environmental Agency, Lower Nature Conservation Authority, is once again inviting people to the "Max Meise - nest box building for young and old" event at the Chemnitz-Adelsberg Nature Conservation Station, Adelsbergstr. 192 on Saturday, 3 March 2018 from 9 am to 4 pm.
Parents and grandparents or other adults with children and grandchildren can build one or more nesting boxes for their own garden or balcony under expert guidance. At the same time, there is the opportunity to get ideas, suggestions and solutions for breeding and nesting possibilities for building-dwelling bird species or bats at the nature conservation centre's buildings.
The campaign is a joint project between the Saxon Ornithologists' Association (VSO) and the City of Chemnitz Environmental Agency.
The VSO asks for a donation of approx. 5 euros per nesting box for the materials.
The Chemnitz-Adelsberg nature conservation centre can be reached by tram line 5 to the Pappelhain stop or by car via Carl-von-Ossietzky-Straße.
