Max Meise - Nest box building for young and old
Environment Agency offers events on nature conservation again
On Saturday, 20 February and Saturday, 27 February 2016, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Lower Nature Conservation Authority will once again be holding the "Max Meise - nest box building for young and old" event at the Adelsbergstr. 192 nature conservation station.
Parents and grandparents are invited to build one or more nesting boxes for their own garden or balcony with children and grandchildren under expert guidance. At the same time, there is the opportunity to get ideas, suggestions and solutions for breeding and nesting opportunities for building-dwelling bird species or bats at the nature conservation centre's buildings.
The campaign is a joint project between the Saxon Ornithologists' Association (VSO) and the Environmental Agency. The VSO asks for a donation of approx. 5 euros per nesting box for the materials. The Chemnitz-Adelsberg nature conservation centre can be reached by tram line 5 to the Pappelhain stop or by car via Carl-von-Ossietzky-Str.
