Max Meise - Nest box building for young and old
On 4 March from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Chemnitz-Adelsberg nature conservation station
On Saturday, 4 March 2017 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Environmental Agency invites you to the "Max Meise - nest box building for young and old" event at the Chemnitz-Adelsberg Nature Conservation Station, Adelsbergstraße 192. Parents and grandparents (or other adults) can build one or more nesting boxes for their own garden or balcony with their children and grandchildren under expert guidance. At the same time, ideas, suggestions and solutions for breeding and nesting opportunities for building-dwelling bird species or bats can be obtained. Examples can be found on the buildings of the nature conservation centre.
The campaign is a joint project between the Verein Sächsischer Ornithologen (VSO) e.V. and the Environmental Agency. The VSO asks for a donation of approx. 5 euros per nesting box for the material. The Chemnitz-Adelsberg Nature Conservation Centre, Adelsbergstraße 192, can be reached by tram line 5 to the Pappelhain stop or by car via Carl-von-Ossietzky-Straße
