Max Meise - Nest box building for young and old
Environment Agency campaign on 9 March, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Environmental Agency, Lower Nature Conservation Authority, is once again inviting people to the "Max Meise - nest box building for young and old" event at the Chemnitz-Adelsberg Nature Conservation Station, Adelsbergstr. 192 on Saturday, 9 March from 9 am to 4 pm.
Parents and grandparents or other adults with children and grandchildren can build one or more nesting boxes for their own garden or balcony under expert guidance. At the same time, experts will provide information on many details about bird protection in the house, yard or garden and answer questions. At the Adelsberg nature conservation centre, many different nesting aids and their installation options, including on buildings, can be viewed on site.
The event is a joint project between the Verein Sächsischer Ornithologen e.V. (VSO) and the environmental department of the city of Chemnitz.
The VSO asks for a donation of approx. 5 euros per nesting box for the material.
The Chemnitz-Adelsberg nature conservation centre can be reached by tram line 5 to the Pappelhain stop or by car via Carl-von-Ossietzky-Straße.
